Ladysmith Pharmacy driver robbed at gunpoint during delivery

Ladysmith detective are believed to be investigating the incident

A motorcycle driver from Ladysmith Pharmacy was allegedly robbed at gunpoint on Thursday evening (May 7) during an incident that occurred at the corner of 1st Avenue and 2nd Street in Limit Hill.

Suspects attacked driver during delivery

According to the driver, he was on his way from Modelkloof to Limit Hill to carry out a delivery when he was approached by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm. The driver said he was struck with an unknown object, causing him to fall and sustain injuries.

Firearm and medication stolen

The suspects allegedly searched the driver and stole all his belongings, including a firearm and medication that was meant to be delivered. A case has since been opened at the Ladysmith Police Station.
