Dundee police raid results in three arrests for firearm and drug possession
The Dundee SAPS have been very active in rooting out drug dealers and the scourge of illegal firearms.
Three men, aged between 21 and 37, were arrested in Sibongile last Tuesday after they were found in possession of an unlicensed firearm, ammunition and drugs.
The raid followed an intelligence-driven operation conducted by Umzinyathi District Crime Intelligence, together with the Newcastle Public Order Policing Unit.
Three targets were hit during the operation, which resulted in the arrest of three suspects.
An unlicensed firearm and ammunition, 97 whoonga capsules, and 10 mandrax pills were seized.
All the arrested suspects are set to appear in the Dundee Magistrate’s Court.
