Dundee boxers fight for world glory

Two Dundee boxers are fighting for world glory as they prepare to represent South Africa at the upcoming championships.

Two talented pugilists from Dundee’s Hlula Dladla Boxing Club in Sibongile are punching their way to international glory after being selected to represent South Africa at the upcoming World Championships in Africa.

Nkosingiphile Sibisi, who first laced up his gloves at the age of 12, now fights in the flyweight division and ranks among the world’s top ten. With 12 bouts to his name — including two knockouts and no defeats — Sibisi has quickly proven himself to be a formidable force in the ring.

His stablemate, Lindelani Sibisi, began boxing at just 10 years old and competes in the featherweight division. From 12 fights, he boasts 10 wins, eight of them by knockout, and only two losses, earning him a world ranking of 15th.

The duo now hope to secure sponsorship to help them realise their dream of competing on the world stage.
