Police and the local NDE911 Active security group have called on the public to keep an eye out for a group of armed men who kidnapped and robbed a businessman and his mother on the Nquthu–Dundee road earlier today.

According to SAPS sources, who cannot be named for safety reasons, the suspects are travelling in a white Hyundai with GP registration plates and were last seen heading towards Dundee.

Gunshots fired during robbery

Several gunshots were reportedly fired during the robbery, causing panic among passing motorists. Police have since launched a manhunt and are working closely with local security networks to track down the suspects.

Residents and motorists are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.
