Police arrested two suspects after seizing mandrax tablets during an intelligence-driven operation in Dundee CBD

Two suspects were arrested, and mandrax tablets were seized during an intelligence-driven operation in Dundee CBD on Thursday, April 9.

Operation targets drug activity in CBD

According to police spokesperson Sergeant Siyabonga Nkwanyana, members of the Dundee Crime Prevention Unit acted on information about two individuals allegedly in possession of drugs.

“During patrols in the area, the suspects, aged 29 and 39, were identified and searched,” he said.

Police recovered 30 mandrax tablets from one suspect and 50 from the other.

Both suspects were arrested and taken to Dundee Police Station.

They are expected to appear in the Dundee Magistrate’s Court soon.
