The newly completed KwaNocomboshe Satellite Police Station was officially handed over today, July 24, marking a major step towards improving policing and access to safety services in communities under the Msinga policing precinct.

Facility set to improve service delivery

The handover followed a final inspection by officials from the South African Police Service National and Provincial Supply Chain Management, Dundee SAPS and Msinga SAPS to ensure the facility met all required standards.

Traditional leaders, led by Inkosi Ngubane, the ward councillor, municipal representatives, contractors and other stakeholders attended the handover.

Msinga SAPS Station Commander Lieutenant Colonel Sipho Mbatha thanked all departments and contractors involved in completing the project, saying the new facility would improve police accessibility and service delivery to surrounding communities.

Umzinyathi District SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Siyabonga Nkwanyana said the satellite police station reflects the police’s commitment to strengthening service delivery and bringing policing services closer to the communities they serve.

Inkosi Ngubane welcomed the completion of the project and said the new station would help strengthen relations between police and the community while contributing to crime prevention and a safer environment for residents.
