The community of Glencoe is invited to support a weekend of fellowship, entertainment and fundraising at a flea market and church services at EBC Glencoe from Friday, October 16, to Sunday, October 18.

The flea market will take place on Saturday, October 17, from 2pm, with toys, clothing, homeware and other goods on sale.

Gracy Singh of the congregation said the flea market will offer giveaway prices, with proceeds going towards the church’s welfare department.

The event will also include entertainment, counselling sessions and activities for the community.

The weekend programme starts on Friday, October 16, at 6pm with a youth and young adults’ service. Hotdogs and cold drinks will be available. 

The church’s crusade will include Pastors Ivan Chengalroyan, host pastor Christy Valayatham and Donovan Benjamin.

On Saturday evening, the main service and supper will take place from 6pm.

The weekend will conclude on Sunday, October 18, with a morning service at 9am, followed by snacks and tea or coffee.

Community members are encouraged to attend and support the initiative while enjoying the various activities on offer.

World Peace Day goes virtual

World Peace Day will be observed on Monday, September 21, with a special online event from 18h30 to 20h30.

The event will be held virtually, with the link shared upon registration.

The theme for the evening is “Towards Universal Unbounded Solidarity: Pathways to Zero Emissions.” Speakers are Sienna Juptner and Delwyn Pillay.
