Dundee residents wake up to ‘tea baths’
Dundee residents report tea-coloured water from their taps as concerns grow over its impact on households.
Dundonians are again waking up this morning to what they are calling ‘tea-coloured’ showers and baths.
Many who called the Courier said their tap water has been discoloured since around Wednesday last week with residents from Strathmore Park to Forrestdale voicing the same complaint.
“It’s like bathing in tea. What about our clothes? This water will damage our garments and never mind about the associated health issues,” said one Cornhill Street resident.
The Umzinyathi District Municipality has been contacted to comment on the situation and this will be published when received.
