14 injured after taxi overturns on R34 Memel Road

The patients were treated on scene before being transported to the hospital for further treatment.

The notorious R34 Memel Road was again the scene of a serious accident after a mini-bus taxi overturned earlier this morning, leaving 14 people injured.

Chantelle Botha of Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service said when emergency services arrived, they found that a taxi had lost control and overturned.

Various medical services including Magenta Medical Services, Trivs Medical Services and Kwazulu Private attended to the scene and assisted with treating the patients.

“Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that 14 patient had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious,” concluded Botha.
