Two men appeared in the Ezakheni Magistrate’s Court yesterday (March 26), facing charges related to a shooting in June last year along the Helpmekaar Road. The incident left eight people dead, including a two-year-old baby. Now, nearly a year later, the accused face justice.

The men were denied bail, as they were also linked to a crime that took place in Elandslaagte in 2023.

The suspected killers were arrested in Johannesburg last weekend.

They will appear next in the Pietermaritzburg High Court on May 22.
