Routine delivery ends in armed robbery

Armed men struck in Centenary Road.

What began as a routine delivery took a terrifying turn yesterday afternoon (October 15) when a man was held up at gunpoint in Centenary Road.

The victim, who was dropping off fresh produce at a local business, was suddenly approached by two armed men. In a tense encounter, the robbers made off with his wallet and pocket knife before fleeing the scene.

Ladysmith detectives have opened a case of armed robbery and are currently investigating the incident.
