Police arrest 13 motorists in Estcourt for drunk driving

RTI are continuing to work closely with the police to ensure compliance with road safety laws.

RTI, in collaboration with the SAPS and Department of Health, arrested 13 motorists in Estcourt yesterday evening (October 31) for drunk driving.

KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport & Human Settlements Siboniso Duma commended the law enforcement officers for their dedication to promoting road safety.

“I am encouraged by the swift arrest of 13 motorists for drunk driving in Estcourt. The highly efficient team from RTI is very firm and determined to remove reckless motorists who want to turn our more than 34,000km of road networks into killing fields,” said Duma.

RTI continues to work closely with police to ensure compliance with road safety laws and to curb incidents of reckless and drunk driving across the province.
