Residents across several neighbourhoods are on high alert after reports that a suspected thief is making the rounds in Hillside, Rose Park and Chisty Place.

Concerns were initially raised after video footage surfaced late last year, showing clothes being stolen from a washing line in Chisty Place. The incident, captured on CCTV in November, has now taken on new significance as residents in Leonardsville have reported similar suspicious activity.

According to locals, outside lights were stolen. Some people are saying that the same culprit may be responsible.

One Leonardsville resident said they recognised the individual after viewing the earlier CCTV footage, claiming that the man seen in their area closely resembles the person captured on the Chisty Place video.
