Police responded after a man was stabbed at the entrance of the Murchison Mall, from Alexandra Street, on Wednesday (June 3). The victim, believed to be a foreign national, was injured and rushed to hospital.

Three suspects arrested

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan confirmed the incident and said that three suspects, aged between 36 and 42, were arrested in connection with the attack. The suspects have been charged with attempted murder.

Court appearance

The three accused made a brief appearance in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court on Thursday (June 4). Police investigations into the matter are continuing.
