Women fight the battles of today
The idea was to remind every woman of the role they played 66 years ago when they marched against the Pass Law that was imposed by the apartheid regime government.

Sthembile Location-Ward 3 hosted a successful Women’s Month celebration event on August 30.
The idea was to remind every woman of the role they played 66 years ago when they marched against the Pass Law that was imposed by the apartheid regime government.
Most importantly, the women were encouraged to ignite the same spirit and help to fight the current battles such as poverty, child and woman abuse, drugs and substance abuse, and teenage pregnancy.
“Women played a significant role in the Pass Law battle, so I strongly believe that if they can take a stand in today’s battles and play a similar role, positive results will definitely materialise,” said one of the speakers at the event.
Sincere thanks to all the mothers and grannies who attended, in spite of the chilly weather.
Everyone was motivated, uplifted and thoroughly entertained.
