
Protest action took place this morning (April 6) in Centenary Road.
The protesters burned tyres and blocked the road, with motorists having to use alternate routes.
Police and other law enforcement officials (Public Safety) responded to the scene.

The protesters had already dispersed and none were found at the scene when our journalist arrived.
The reason for the protest is unknown at this stage.
The road is now open again, but motorists are advised to be cautious in the area.
