Police host awareness campaign at schools

The learners were encouraged to take action against social ills

Ekuvukeni SAPS Social Crime Prevention officers and members of the Community Policing Forum (CPF) joined hands with other state departments to conduct an awareness campaign at various schools recently

This formed part of the School Safety Programme.

The aim was to teach learners about the impact of drugs, faction fighting, bullying and gender-based violence in society. The children were advised and encouraged to take positive action to prevent these social ills.

The team visited seven high schools, namely Mzimela, Siphimfundo, Embizeni, Intandoyesizwe, Limehill, Sicelokuhle and Sivukile.
