Burst pipe leads to roadside pool

Residents say that the leak is gradually destroying the road

A burst pipe in Residency Road has caused a veritable pool of water to form at the corner.

Residents complain that this has been an ongoing problem and they have been reporting the issue to uThukela District Municipality since 2021, yet nothing has been done and it keeps getting worse.

“As ratepayers in the community, we do not appreciate being ignored when it comes to service delivery issues. The whole area needs attention because of the overgrown grass. The burst pipe is hidden under rubbish. This was reported back in 2021 and now the water has destroyed our road,” commented one unhappy resident.
