Holy Prophet celebrated during the sixth annual Meelad Juloos Spiritual Walk
Around 50 followers of Islam in Newcastle took part in this worldwide event, which started from the lower Boundary Road mosque and ended at the upper Boundary Road mosque.
JIARAT (Jamia Imam Ahmad Raza Trust) hosted a spiritual walk on Sunday, October 1, also referred to as a Juloos, to commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Around 50 followers of Islam in Newcastle took part in this worldwide event, which started from the lower Boundary Road mosque and ended at the upper Boundary Road mosque.
Ali Hoosen wished to thank each and every participant and stakeholder for helping to ensure the day’s events went as smoothly and successfully as possible.
With special mention to the following people:
- Spiritual leaders from all across Newcastle and its surrounding towns, such as Standerton, Ermelo, Ladysmith, and even Harrismith.
- Amajuba District Cluster Commander, Major General Fred Alexander, who participated in the march and showed the utmost respect for our Islamic community.
- Chief of Traffic, Ashok Annandaw, and his team fully supported the march.
- Saps Sector Commander, Captain Zwane, and his entire SAPS Team
- TRIVS Ambulance Services, who always this annual event, and every single donor and sponsor on the day.
“Each and every one of you made our function shine, and we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts,” said Hoosen.
Throughout the walk, participants praised and honored the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
