Creations 2023 at Talana Museum
The annual Creations Expo will be hosted at Talana Museum daily from 10am to 4pm. These amazing crafts are direct from the creator to you! There will be great gifts, ideal for Christmas, clothing, home decor, jewellery, food stuffs, garden goodies, plants and a collectables corner.
October 20/21/22:
Talana ghost walk and Talana Live commemoration
The 124th anniversary of the Battle of Talana will take place across the lawns of what is now Talana Museum and up the slopes of Talana Hill. Meet at 16:45 at the cemetery in the Talana Museum grounds for the annual ghost walk up Talana Hill.
After an introductory talk on the battle, participants will walk up Talana Hill in the footsteps of the British soldiers, with an explanation of the events at relevant points on the hillside. Sherry, fruit juice and beef sandwiches will be offered as one sits and quietly listens to the stories of ‘it happened here’ and wait for the ghosts. Yes, they are on the battlefield and particularly on the anniversary. On Saturday, October 21, meet at Talana Museum at 06:45 / 07:00 for an anniversary tour of Battle of Talana sites, including Mpati Hill and other sites in the town. There will also be a chance to shop at the Creations Expo at Talana. Sunday, October 22, will see a tour of the Battle of Elandslaagte. For full details, contact Tourism Dundee on 072 183 5850.

Cake sale at Adult Centre
The Dundee Adult Centre at 59 Victoria Street will hold a cake sale from 8am to midday. Please come and support the day. If anyone is willing to donate ingredients for cakes, please contact the centre.
