Sewer leak affects business in Alfred Street

The business is losing money as products continue to be damaged

It’s been almost a month after the flooding in town, and Ladysmith Hardware is still suffering in the aftermath.

A sewer leak that was caused by the flooding is still haunting the business, which is located on the corner of Illing Road and Alfred Street.

Sewage runs into the shop, causing damage to the timber and other products on sale.

According to Mr Salim, they have reported the problem to uThukela on numerous occasions, but nothing has been done about the situation.

uThukela has been contacted for comment, but had not responded at the time of publishing this article.
