Estcourt’s top achievers rewarded
The learners received mugs, bags and jackets; and some were also provided with sanitary towels
The Lukhane Creations initiative recently visited local schools to honour and congratulate the top matric achievers of 2023. Mostly rural schools were visited, including Sizathina High School, Phumelelani Primary, Geza Primary and Bhekudi High.
Bonginkosi Mpembe from Lukhane Creations says they embarked on this project because they want to encourage learners to continue striving for success and dedicate themselves to education.

“I want to encourage learners to study hard, especially black children, and my main concern is to promote excellence,” said Mpembe.
He continued to say that they started this journey last year, when they awarded the top achievers of 2022.
The programme is expected to continue once again next year.
