Water leak causes potholes in Short Street?

Double-edged sword as water goes to waste and causes 'craters' to grow

Residents say that not only is clean drinking water leaking out at the N11 and Short Street intersection, but it is also causing damage to the road surface.

The potholes in Short Street are growing in size every day due to the water that runs into them.

Public Safety have even put a beacon in the road to warn motorists of the danger to their vehicles.

“It is concerning to see clean water going to waste and not only that, it’s also damaging the road. It looks like there is no sense of urgency at both municipalities. Why don’t they quickly fix this while it is still small, instead of waiting until the damage is big and costly to repair?” said a concerned motorist.
