Gospel festival blesses Crisis Centre with much-needed goodie bags

Evangelist Hugo Boshoff said the festival was hosted as a fund-raiser to help ease the burdens of the women at the Crisis Centre.

The Newcastle Crisis Centre received a generous and much-needed donation last week from Evangelist Hugo Boshoff and Pastor Pieter Rogers, representing the Newcastle Gospel Festival, which was hosted at Gracepark in October last year, by the following congregations:

  • Jireh Park,
  • Graceway, Newcastle,
  • Lede in Christus,
  • Deo Victoria,
  • International Assemblies of God
  • New Beginnings.

According to Evangelist Hugo Boshoff, the festival was hosted as a fund-raiser to help ease the burdens of the women who seek refuge at the Crisis Centre.

“We put together numerous personal care packages, which included sanitary items and toiletries, which were donated to the center on Wednesday (March 27). We also included a cash donation of R3860,” he said.

Evangelist Boshoff wished to thank the community who attended the festival and graciously donated towards this cause, making it possible to assist The Crisis Centre. He said he is praying that this will be an ongoing gesture from the community.

“Thank you.”
