Inaugural ‘Saddle and Shop’ a success
Newcastle residents had the opportunity to browse around a variety of items, while children could enjoy a short ride on the horses.
The Travellers Pop Up celebrated a successful debut of the ‘Saddle and Shop’ market day at the Newcastle Equestrian Club on September 28.
Among the standout attractions were Madeleine Spencer’s charming toy horses, which captured the hearts of both young and old, quickly becoming the top-selling item of the day.
Although attendance was lower than expected, it was a successful first partnership between the Travellers Pop Up and the Equestrian Club.
“Although public participation was low, the vendors’ spirits were high and new ideas for the future markets were flowing,” said Tara Wood, the coordinator.
Wood thanked the Newcastle Equestrian Club for the use of their premises and the Clan Equestria for allowing them to join in their Western games event.
“A big thank you to all who supported the vendors. We appreciate your support, and we feel blessed by it,” she stated.
The next Traveller’s Pop-Up will take place at the MMG Food Fest on October 5 from 10 a.m.
