Solidarity Helping Hand raises funds to aid the needy

Funds raised at the market day will be used to help members of the community who express an urgent and dire need.

Despite some confusion about the venue of the market day hosted by Solidarity Helping Hand on October 26, event organiser, Estelle Russell, said, “In the end, we had a beautiful day.”

Anyone who wishes to apply for assistance from Solidarity may fill in an application form on the organisation’s website.

However, Russell urges prospective applicants to bear in mind that strict criteria are used to determine who qualifies for assistance.

The Newcastle Advertiser regrets publishing the incorrect venue for the market day in its ‘What’s On’ column, and any inconvenience that was caused as a result.
