SAPS clinch victory over Titans in Saturday League 30 over final
SAPS emerged victorious in the final of the Saturday 30-over league played on Saturday, November 16, when they produced an impressive 5-wicket win over Titans.
Titans batted first, scoring 154 runs for 8 wickets in 26 overs.
Due to the SAPS’s slow bowling rate, the Titans were awarded an additional 48 runs in 4 overs, setting their total at 202.
This left SAPS with a target of 203.
Arslan Rahmath led Saps’ bowling attack, taking 4 wickets in 5 overs while conceding 32 runs.
Supporting him were Ansar and Wasim who both claimed two wickets.
The fielding star was 15-year-old Waleed Ghafoor whose agility and quick thinking resulted in two remarkable catches and a run-out, removing key Titans players and playing a pivotal role in SAPS’s defence.
SAPS openers, Sadek Bhula and Sajjad Bandesha, set a solid foundation. Sajjad contributed 37 runs before being dismissed.
Abdullah then joined Sadek, adding 43 runs to the scoreboard.
Sadek’s unbeaten 97 runs ultimately secured the win.
SAPS extend their sincere thanks to their sponsors: Seven Star Salon, Cell City, and Nuraan World Travels, whose support contributed to this successful season.
