Breakwaters AC into the knock out finals
Breakwaters AC were up against Stillwaters AC in the semifinal of the Angling Professional League (APL) on December 8 at Richgate Park where the clubs were locked in battle in zones 3 and 4.
Rated favourites, Breakwaters AC had their work cut out against the Stillwater anglers who were to eliminate Breakwaters AC.Their determination was evident in their long queue of keep nets.
At the weigh-in, the tension could be felt as each fish was weighed. Stillwaters Angling Club amassed 104 points.
Then it was the turn of Breakwaters AC; there was a sigh of relief when the second-to-last nets were about to be weighed.
At that stage, Breakwaters had 101 points; however, with the two outstanding nets and one good haul of fish by Revaaj Buduram (with 9 points), they totalled 113 points, sealing the fate of Stillwaters AC, who should be commended for their formidable performance.
Breakwaters AC now advance to the finals against main rivals, Dannhauser AC, on February 23, 2025 at Sandford.
