Man arrested for drug possession in Lennoxton sting operation

Mandrax was seized on January 28 in the Lennoxton area following a successful sting operation by the Amajuba Crime Intelligence and Amajuba DOCC team.

According to SAPS Spokesperson Constable Langa officers acted on a tip-off that led them to the suspect, who was found in possession of 178 and a half mandrax tablets.

The street value of the recovered drugs is estimated at R10,000.

“This operation is part of our ongoing efforts to curb the drug trade in the region,” said Constable Langa. “We continue to rely on community cooperation to address these issues.”

The suspect is expected to appear in court facing charges related to the possession and dealing of illegal substance.
