Municipality warns of job scam

Do not fall prey to these scams.

Alfred Duma Local Municipality has issued a warning about a job scam doing the rounds on social media.

The scam artist claims that the municipality has job openings and asks applicants to send their CVs to a fake email address. The scammers even use a similar surname to that of the mayor, Zama Sibisi, to trick people.

The municipality currently has no advertised job openings and warns the public not to respond to the scam or pay any fees.

The public is urged to be cautious when seeing job adverts and to verify their authenticity before responding.
