EFF uplifts the youth of Ward 17

School shoes were donated and a soccer tournament was held.

In its pursuit of youth development, the EFF Youth Command – led by Cllr Sithabiso Cebekhulu – held development programmes in Ward 17 Driefontein, Emgazini area, recently.

The programme was two-fold. Firstly, school shoes were donated to needy learners at Inyamazwe Primary School. They also hosted a soccer tournament targeting young people between 14 and 30 years of age.

Cllr Cebekhulu said that since they were having a membership drive, they also felt the need to uplift the youth. “We want to encourage the youth in the Uthukela District at large to participate in sports. In so doing, this will help them to stay away from social ills such as drugs,” said Cebekhulu.
