Learners injured in crash at Lakeside Crossing

The minibus taxi flipped over after the collision.

Multiple injuries were reported after a minibus taxi and a car crashed at Lakeside Crossing on Sunday evening (May 18). The taxi was transporting schoolchildren. It is alleged that one of the vehicles skipped the stop sign. Learners from Umfolozi Secondary School were on their way home after attending a Life Science seminar in Mondlo. The minibus taxi flipped over after the collision. 17 people were injured, 11 of them seriously while six sustained minor injuries.
