Latest update: The road has been cleared and traffic is flowing freely in both directions

Two trucks sideswiped each other coming down Van Reenen’s Pass in the early hours of this morning (June 20).

One of the vehicles overturned, rolling off the road, while the other dropped its load of copper near the Pyramids Motel on Van Reenen’s Pass.

The N3 southbound is closed, as well as the northbound fast lane.

Recovery operations are currently in progress.
