Mayor introduces contractor for road project in Ekuvukeni
The project will enhance local infrastructure and create employment opportunities.
Alfred Duma Local Municipality Mayor Zama Sibisi introduced the contractor for an asphalt road project in Ekuvukeni, Ward 33, on Tuesday (August 26). Also present at the event were Cllr Nene (Ward 33), Cllr Ngubane (Ward 32), ward committees and municipal officials.
In his address, the mayor highlighted the critical role this infrastructure upgrade will play in improving the daily lives of the residents.
Siwa Consulting Engineers and Project Managers was introduced as the appointed contractor for the Ekuvukeni Asphalt Road Project.

With a budget of R4.9 million and a scheduled completion time of six months, this project aims to significantly improve road quality and access to essential services.
It is anticipated that the project will create jobs for 10 local people.
Sibisi urged the community to co-operate during the construction phases. Residents were also encouraged to channel any concerns or issues through their ward councillor or the Office of the Mayor. The municipality underscored the importance of ongoing communication and community support to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of the project – on time and to the highest standards.
