Authorities locate missing Raymond in Eswatini

Raymond Du Plessis, missing since last month, has been found in Eswatini.

Newcastle resident, Raymond Du Plessis (33), who has been missing since last month, has been located in Eswatini.

Authorities report that he is possibly suffering from dementia.

Raymond was located after the Royal Eswatini Police Service issued a post on their official Facebook page, in a bid to locate any family or friends of du Plessis.

The post read: “The Royal Eswatini Police Service is seeking assistance from members of the public and our social media community in locating the relatives of Raymond du-Plessis in Eswatini. He is a South African national who claims to be in the country to visit his relatives, and unfortunately, he cannot remember where they live, or who they are, or their contacts.”

According to Newcastle CPF Deputy Chairman, Belinda Ellor Raymond has been picked up and is on his way back home.

“He was located thanks to the efforts of GROUND Z3RO, SBA PROTECT, and the Newcastle CPF who ensured Raymond’s safe return to South Africa,” concluded Ellor.

She also thanked Denzil Govender of GROUND Z3RO for all his assistance.
