A motorist escaped serious injury after a man unexpectedly ran into the road in Ncandu Park, causing a vehicle to flip. Read more here:

A motorist was fortunate to escape serious injuries this morning (Monday, September 8) after a homeless man ran in front of a vehicle on Ngagane Street in Ncandu Park.

Witnesses reported that the man, reportedly rummaging through bin bags, suddenly dashed into the road in front of an oncoming car.

The driver swerved to avoid hitting him, causing the vehicle to flip and land on its roof.

Charles Steyn of Magenta Medical Services confirmed that the driver was not injured, although the car was extensively damaged.
