Njabulo Mdakane receives his award from Major General P Makhoba (KZN Deputy Provincial Commissioner).

Njabulo Mdakane was recognised as KwaZulu-Natal’s Top Youth Desk Chairperson at the recent Provincial Community Police Forum, Youth Crime Prevention Desk & Vispol Appreciation Awards held in Durban recently.

With over 20 years of service at the SAPS Youth Crime Prevention Desk, Mdakane is now serving his second term as chairperson. He is known for juggling his full-time job with a wide range of responsibilities – from planning and attending meetings to leading events, co-ordinating projects and compiling reports for SAPS management.

His leadership has seen the successful rollout of several community projects that made a positive impact, contributing to his recognition at provincial level.

Mdakane continues to be a role model for young people, proving that committed youth leadership can bring real change.
