Al-Imdaad Foundation responds to flood emergency

The Disaster Unit delivered blankets and hygiene packs to flood-affected Newcastle residents and care homes.

The Al-Imdaad Foundation Disaster Unit responded after heavy rainfall and an accompanying hailstorm resulted in flash flooding in the Newcastle area.

The severe weather affected communities and several businesses.



In a co-ordinated effort, the Al-Imdaad Foundation team distributed blankets and hygiene packs to residents in the affected areas, including those living in old age homes.

The foundation’s prompt response aimed to provide comfort and support to those who suffered losses as a result of the flooding.

Relief operations were carried out in collaboration with local stakeholders to ensure that aid reached those most in need.
