Teen’s murder accused makes brief court appearance

Suluman Tyob (26), accused of Henrico Oosthuizen's death made a brief appearance in the Newcastle District Court on Wednesday morning.

Suluman Tyob (26), accused of causing the death of Henrico Oosthuizen (17), made a brief appearance in the Newcastle District Court this morning (December 17) for bail information.

It was confirmed by the court that Tyob has been charged with a schedule 5 offence.

Tyob is facing murder charges after an altercation between him and Oosthuizen in Gemsbok Avenue in Hutten Heights, that turned deadly.

He will re-appear in court on December 24 for an official bail application.

He remains in custody until then.
