Here is when and how much beneficiaries will receive from Sassa in January 2026.
When will I get my money?
- Older persons grant: Tuesday, 6 January 2026
- Disability grant: Wednesday, 7 January 2026
- Children’s grants: Thursday, 8 January 2026
How much will I be paid?
- Old age: R2 315
- War veterans: R2 335
- Disability: R2 315
- Care dependency: R2 315
- Foster child: R1 250
- Child support: R560
- Grant-in-aid: R560
- Social relief of distress (SRD): R370
Useful tips to remember when payouts are made:
- If a payment date falls on a weekend or public holiday, Sassa moves it to the next business day.
- Make sure your bank details are correct and active.
- If you have not received payment within two to three business days of your expected date, call 0800 60 10 11 or visit your nearest Sassa office.
- Avoid long queues by collecting after the official date – your funds will still be available.
