Lenmed La Verna Hospital empowers staff with CPR skills

The programme fostered shared responsibility to ensure that more staff members are prepared to act in emergencies.

‘We Grow’ month focuses on life-saving training

Lenmed La Verna Private Hospital wrapped up February’s ‘We Grow’ month with a pioneering initiative that extended professional development beyond clinical roles.

CPR training for non-clinical employees

In a move to strengthen emergency preparedness, the hospital’s People & Culture team introduced hands-on CPR training for administrative and support staff. Employees who would not typically respond to medical crises were equipped with vital life-saving skills.

The sessions were led by clinical facilitator Carina Bronn and certified Basic Life Support instructor Olivia Suklal, who guided the participants through practical exercises to build confidence and competence.

Building a culture of care

Hospital leadership said the initiative reflects Lenmed’s core values: We Care, We Serve, We Grow, We Collaborate, We Innovate, We Deliver.

Beyond technical skills, the programme fostered teamwork and shared responsibility to ensure that more staff members are prepared to act in emergencies, both within the hospital and in the wider community.
