Another postponement has been granted in the court case of Martin Wessels, who is accused of fatally shooting Anton Lombard in April 2025. The shooting took place at the Hauser Park Sports Bar, also known as The Shute, in the Egerton area.

Today’s appearance (May 13)

Wessels appeared in the Ladysmith Regional Court today (May 13), where the matter was postponed to June 23. His bail was extended. During the brief court proceedings, the court heard that the matter is awaiting the outcome from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
