KwaNotshelwa High celebrates top academic achievers

KwaNotshelwa High rewards top learners for excellent first term academic performance.

KwaNotshelwa High School recently celebrated academic excellence by honouring learners who achieved top 10 positions from Grades 8 to 12 during the first term.

The ceremony took place at the school, where learners from Grades 8 to 11 received certificates in recognition of their outstanding academic performance. Grade 12 learners were awarded certificates as well as a cash prize of R250 for the matric top five achievers.

Science learner earns special recognition

Grade 12 Science stream learner Lindokuhle Ndlozi received special recognition after achieving 90% in five subjects. He was awarded a cash prize of R500, sponsored by AbaQulusi Local Municipality.

The Grade 12 top five learners for the first term were Lindokuhle Ndlozi, Sithole Sanele, Nkwanyana Philasande, Sibiya Aphelele. Shabangu Amahle and Mntungwa Andile tied for the same position.

School applauds learners’ dedication

Teacher and recognition committee organiser Nqobile Makathini said the school was proud of the learners for their dedication and commitment to their studies.

“We are very proud of our learners as they have shown determination and commitment in their studies. We hope they continue to work hard in the coming terms,” she said.

Appreciation for continued support

Makathini also thanked Principal Masango, Deputy Principal NZ Dlamini, AbaQulusi Local Municipality, the School Governing Body, parents and members of the recognition committee for their continued support in celebrating and motivating learners.
