Estcourt Athletics Club rewards Comrades commitment
The initiative is aimed at encouraging club members to put in the training and chase their Comrades qualification.
Estcourt Athletics Club is continuing its R400 Comrades incentive for the Ultimate Human Race, recognising the dedication and commitment of members who take on the challenge of qualifying for and starting the Comrades Marathon.
R400 incentive continues for Comrades runners
The incentive is available to all paid-up Estcourt Athletics Club members who successfully qualify for and start the Comrades Marathon. Members will receive R400 regardless of whether they complete the race, with payment made via EFT once the runner has started.
The initiative is aimed at encouraging club members to put in the training, chase their Comrades qualification and experience the support of their local running club along the way.
Five Estcourt Athletics Club members successfully received the incentive this year, and the club is hoping to see even more runners take up the Comrades challenge next year.
Join the club and take on the challenge
With entries for the historic 100th Comrades Marathon having opened on Tuesday, August 25, local runners are encouraged to join Estcourt Athletics Club and become part of a supportive and committed running community.
From putting in the training miles to chasing that all-important qualification, runners can look forward to the encouragement and camaraderie that come with being part of the club.
The R400 incentive is another way the club is showing its support for members who commit themselves to one of South Africa’s most iconic road-running challenges.
AGM reminder for club members
Current Estcourt Athletics Club members are also reminded that the annual general meeting (AGM) will take place on Tuesday, September 1, at 18:30 at the club.
All members are encouraged to attend the AGM, which provides an opportunity for the club community to come together, discuss matters affecting the club and look forward to the year ahead.
For runners considering their next Comrades journey, now is the time to get involved, put in the miles and become part of the Estcourt Athletics Club community.
