Cold front brings chilly conditions

Keep warm this weekend, because it's expected to be a frosty one.

Get ready for an icy weekend ahead as a cold front grips the region, sending temperatures plummeting.

Forecasts show today (June 5) reaching a high of 17°C. Tonight is going to be a nippy one, with temperatures dropping to just 3°C. Tomorrow’s high is also 17°C, with Sunday (June 7) dropping to just 16°C with a nighttime low of 5°C.

Snow falls at Sani Pass

The impact of the cold front is already being felt in the province, with snowfall reported at Sani Pass in the southern Drakensberg. The snow will exacerbate the intensity of the cold air moving across KwaZulu-Natal, so get out your blankets, crank up the heaters and snuggle in against the winter weather.
