Striders runner takes on Comrades challenge

All the best for the Comrades.

Local runner Kuben Pillay is set to take on the iconic Comrades Marathon this weekend, representing Emnambithi Striders Running Club in one of the world’s most demanding ultra-marathons.

The 85.77km race from Durban to Pietermaritzburg is a true test of endurance, determination and mental strength. After months of dedicated training and preparation, Pillay will join thousands of runners on the start line this Sunday (June 14).

Wishing him well

The Striders Running Club family, along with the wider community, wishes Kuben all the very best for race day. His commitment and perseverance are an inspiration, and simply reaching the Comrades start line is an achievement in itself.

“Good luck, Kuben. Run strong, stay safe and enjoy every step of the journey. Your community is proudly behind you all the way,” said his father, Joey Pillay.
