Maiden camp a success

Amathembesizwe Non-profit Organisation marked Youth Month by hosting its maiden girls’ empowerment camp and fun walk on Saturday (June 27), aimed at inspiring and equipping young girls with life skills, leadership qualities, self-confidence and positive values.

Building future leaders

Chairperson Witness Hlengiwe said the organisation is dedicated to creating a safe space where young girls can learn, grow and develop through education, leadership, self-respect, cultural values and health awareness.

The fun walk encouraged unity, healthy living and positive decision-making while raising awareness about the organisation’s mission to empower young people.

Looking ahead

Hlengiwe thanked the committee, volunteers, parents, guardians, community members and supporters for making the event a success. She said the organisation plans to continue hosting educational programmes, leadership workshops, life skills sessions and community outreach initiatives to benefit more young people.
