DA welcomes more than 200 new members in Sithembile

The Democratic Alliance welcomed more than 200 new members during a gathering in Sithembile.

More than 200 new Democratic Alliance (DA) members were welcomed over the weekend during a community gathering at the Sithembile Community Hall in Endumeni Ward 7.

The event was attended by the party’s provincial and local leadership, including DA Constituency Head and Member of Parliament Mlondi Mdluli, provincial leader Sithembiso Ngema, uMzinyathi Constituency chairperson Councillor Tau Mbatha, Ward 7 Councillor Saleem Abdool, Councillor Naresh Gopie and others.

“The leaders addressed new members from the Amakhemfundo voting district and encouraged residents to become actively involved in shaping their community,” said Councillor Abdool.

As part of the visit, the DA also distributed party T-shirts and blankets to elderly residents in the ward.

Party representatives said the event formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the DA’s presence in the area while engaging directly with local communities.

The gathering concluded with leaders thanking residents for their support and welcoming the new members to the party.
