Late try seals Highlanders’ place in league semi-final
A costly error right at the end of the match allowed the third team to score the winning try.
The Newcastle Boschpick Highlanders third team defeated their fourth team 30-27 in a thrilling match at the Arbor Park sports grounds last Saturday (July 11).
The third team secured the dramatic victory after fighting back from a 10-5 half-time deficit.

Late try secures the win
Deep into added time, the fourth team held a slender 27-25 lead. However, a costly error allowed the third team to score the winning try.
One of the most encouraging aspects of the match was the quality of the young talent on display, with every player who featured for both teams being under the age of 23.
This win sees the Highlanders’ third team through to the NSRU Third Division semi-final.
