A woman was critically injured after a vehicle overturned on Normandien Road yesterday evening (July 25).

According to Charles Steyn of Magenta Medical Services, the crash occurred shortly after 19:00.

The vehicle, carrying three occupants, overturned and rolled multiple times before coming to a standstill.

The driver sustained minor injuries, while a second occupant suffered moderate injuries.

“The third occupant sustained critical injuries and had to be rushed to hospital for more extensive medical intervention,” said Steyn.

The exact cause of the collision is unknown at this stage and will form part of an ongoing police investigation.
